Mentoring for Success
Purpose: The School Leader Mentor Program pairs experienced principals and assistant principals with novice leaders, providing tailored guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development.
Newly appointed school leaders are mentored in the following ways:
- Weekly mentor-mentee meetings for consistent support and reflective discussions
- "Just-in-time" support as needed to address immediate challenges and questions
- Mentor-mentee school visits to observe best-practices and receive hands-on guidance
- Assistance with goal setting and action plans
- Encouragement of self-reflection and continuous improvement
