Purpose: The LEAD program is a rigorous and relevant year-long leadership preparatory program focused on the development of highly effective instructional leaders who are equipped to seamlessly transition into the Assistant Principal role.

The LEAD program was created to provide professional development, mentoring, networking opportunities, and job shadowing experiences to aspiring leaders seeking to continue their leadership growth and development. LEAD is fully aligned to the Florida Educational Leadership Standards (FELS).

LEAD Aspiring Leaders Program Requirements:

  • Current employee of The School District of Lee County
  • Minimum of 4 years of Teaching Experience
  • Completion of Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or its equivalent
  • Valid Florida Certification in Educational Leadership
  • Member of The School District of Lee County Assistant Principal Pool
  • Completion of LEAD Program Application
  • Recommendation from Principal/Director
  • A PASSION FOR LEADERSHIP!!!
